VMP (Vacuum Metalizing Processing) Machine

(VERTICAL DUAL-DOOR VACUUM COATER + HMDS)

 

<Equipment Introduction>

Vertical dual-door vacuum metalizing processing machine combined top-coating in chamber for low pollution, high efficiency and versatility of the plasma surface treatment technology, called HMDS (Hexamethyldisiloxane), which is to achieve energy saving & carbon reduction by completing surface protective layer inside chamber.

It can be used in car headlights, processed reflective film, coating and protective film onto aluminum, for acidresisting, alkali-resisting & salt water and other tests; and it can be applicable to plastic materials like PC, PMMA, PP, PC, ABS

Moreover, it can also solve the pollution problem, which accrued from the traditional painting process of headlights.

This device combines two processes together into one process to save time and dramatically reduce labor costs.

[Advantage of HMDS]

Dry coating process accompanies low pollution can meet the green environmental protection requirements. 

It’s also the surface treatment technology at room temperature, applicable to a variety of substrates.

Because plasma is generated by the glow discharge, that belongs to cold style of plasma, whose temperature below 1000C (about —0C ~–0C), so it will not affect the nature of the substrate.

It’s also suitable for surface treatment of macromolecule plastic material!

 

[Principle of HMDS]    HMDS: Hexamethyldisilozane (六甲基二矽氮烷)

Under vacuum conditions, to inject the gas such as argon, oxygen, etc., into the chamber, then to provide the gas with energy by AC power supply, in order to let the gas reach the excitation status for generating the glow discharging, that is plasma!

Plasma is a high-energy gas group.

Therefore, the equipment is using this energy for curing/modifying/reforming the object surface, for removing pollutants or inject the chemical atmosphere, such as silicide monomer (HMDS), etc., to generate polymerization in high-energy plasma (to form a plasma polymerization film)

[Application of Production Procedures]

1) Cleaning procedures (Substrates pre-treatment):

To clean a substrate after injection molding, and then dry it after base-coating.

2) Coating procedures:

(A) Plasma pre-treatment: cleaning procedures (substrates pre-treatment) by using argon, oxygen…

(B) Base-coating: by plasma polymerization to increase the aluminum metalizing adhesion (or by painting)

(C) Aluminum vapor deposition (evaporation): metalizing

(D) Top-coating-1: by plasma polymerization to generate silicon oxide anti-corrosion film (protective layer)

(E) Top-coating-2: by plasma polymerization to improve the adhesion of painting (for anti-atomization / anti-fog treatment)

(F) Vacuum breaking: by using nitrogen (N2) or clean dry air

 

[Machine Features]

The machine is building according to the Japanese JIS vacuum equipment manufacturing standard.

It’s also equipped with well-known foreign brand of hardware for superior performance on exhausting, high stability, durability, low failure rate and long lifespan.

1) Dual-door design takes turns to evaporate for large capacity and saving time of objects loading and unloading!

2) 4-side evaporation electrodes for simultaneously vapor deposition, the tetragonal copper is easy for dismantling and maintenance.

3) Multiple sets (7 sets) of evaporating parameter setting for different materials and effect adjusting.

4) The automation of vapor deposition system, to reduce the defective rate accrued from human factors.

5) Control Interface adopts PLC and touch screen in English/Chinese is easy to operate and learn.

Consists of resume/history function to record all kinds of vapor deposition parameters, power ON/OFF time, the alarms happened with water, electricity, gas in abnormal conditions in order to make system easier to manage and reduce troubleshooting time for improving the overall efficiency of production and achieving the target of lowering production costs.

6) The installation of covers onto the electrodes and rotary motor belt is to protect the operator’s safety.

7) Cooling water is controlled by ultra-temperature control to protect the diffusion pump.

To collocate thermostat and SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) control, and installation of heat insulation cotton on diffusion heater to feed thermal energy back, for energy saving, and it won’t destroy EPOXY flat floor.

8) To install window on diffusion pump oil tank is easy to regularly check the oil level and convenient to add diffusion oil while periodical maintenance.

To install casters is easy for movement while maintenance.

9) Electric wiring without landing on ground by using elevated slots.

10) The configuration (layout) of machine is standardized, which is also subject to review upon the customer’s demand.
